What should I wear to the wedding?
For a semi-formal vibe, think chic cocktail dresses or dressy jumpsuits for the ladies, and suits or blazers for the gents (ties optional but always stylish!).
Pro tip: recommend light fabrics and comfy but classy shoes if you plan to hit the dance floor all night long! 💃🕺
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Everything will be outdoors. Since the wedding is in June, we will have a night wedding, to avoid the scorching heat. Umbrellas will also be present during cocktail hour.
Will transportation be provided?
Yes, we’re organizing shuttles to and from the wedding venue. Check the Travel section for details, or feel free to reach out to us directly!

How can I get around the area?
Getting around Almería is easy! The city is very walkable, so bring comfortable shoes for strolling around and soaking up the charming streets. To explore the the beautiful coastline and natural parks around the province -highly recomended- we recommend renting a car. You can also travel to nearby cities like Granada (train, car), Malaga (car), or Sevilla (plane, car) in a few hours.
We've added more details in the 'Things to Do' section of theis webpage. 🚗 🚌🚶♀️
What is the best way to get to Almería?
If you’re planning to explore Spain for 1-2 weeks, we recommend flying into Málaga, Sevilla, or Madrid. These cities are great starting points for a mini road trip, with plenty of opportunities to rent a car and discover beautiful towns, beaches, and landscapes along the way to Almería. Since Almería's airport (LEI) is small, there may not be many rental cars available, so it's better to secure a car ahead of time or plan your trip through one of these larger cities for more options. 🚗✨
If I am renting a car, is there anything I should know ahead of time?
YES! This happened to me and Carlos when we tried to rent our car in Galicia.
A valid driver's license, a valid passport, and a credit card to pay for the car rental deposit. Please note, you will need the credit card you used to book the car and also a separate credit card (with your name) in order to secure the deposit. It's weird, I know.
Also, automatic cars are not the default in Spain, so make sure it's automatic.
Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony to allow everyone to fully enjoy the moment. We will have a professional photographer capturing the memories, and we can’t wait to share them with you afterward!
Is there a wedding hashtag for social media?
Yes! It is #(A)badLorenzoWedding
Are there any customs or traditions we should know about for your wedding?
Oh there are a fun bunch:
The Arras Ceremony - During the ceremony, the groom presents the bride with arras—13 silver coins—as a symbol of his commitment to provide for her. The coins are a sign of prosperity and unity, and the bride may hold onto them for good fortune.
Vino de Honor - (Galician Tradition) Following the wedding ceremony, the couple traditionally shares a "vino de honor" (honor wine) with guests. This typically takes place in the church or a nearby venue and is a smaller, more intimate gathering before the reception. It’s a time for the newlyweds to toast and receive guests' congratulations.
'A Lúa' - (Galician Tradition) - where the bride and groom go for a walk after the wedding (often in moonlight, to signify the start of their life together.
The 'Saudação' (Azorean Tradition) - A unique tradition where it involves a ritual known as the "saudação" or “greeting,” where friends and family gather around the couple to express their blessings and well wishes.
